Local needle exchanges

Sharing needles can increase your chances of contracting a blood-borne virus (BBV) such as HIV or hepatitis.

To reduce the risk of spreading these or other illnesses, some local pharmacies operate a needle exchange system.

This is where needle/syringe users can swap used needles for a clean and sterile injecting equipment pack.
