Supported internships and employment

Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)

Supported internships are a type of study programme that can help young people aged 16 to 24 with complex learning difficulties or disabilities to get a job. Take a look at this easy-read guide to supported internships.

With supported employment you will have support from a job coach who helps you learn the skills for a job. You can find out more about Supported Employment from your Disability Employment Adviser.

You might be able to get help with travel costs or a free recycled bike through the Travel Choices scheme.
