Statham House is Depaul UK's supported accommodation service for young people in and leaving care based in Rochdale.
Statham House works in partnership with placing local authorities and other partners to support young people who are very vulnerable and require high levels of care and support because of multiple issues including poor mental health and self harm, risky and challenging behaviour including substance and alcohol use and involvement with the criminal justice system.
We are ambitious for young people, supporting them to aim high for the future whilst developing their skills for independent living and working through the complex and multiple challenges they are faced with. The service is designed to support and empower young people to improve their health, well being and self esteem. This enables young people to break damaging patterns of thinking and behaviour, take more control of their lives and move towards positive futures.
To help achieve this we provide young people with good quality accommodation in one of the 9 one bedroom flats in the purpose built property with communal lounge and training kitchen where young people can take part in a range of activities. At least 2 experienced members of staff are there 24 hours a day.
