Manchester Aquatics Centre

Manchester Aquatics Centre is a community facility located just off Oxford Road in the Centre of Manchester.  The Centre, which was purpose built for the Commonwealth Games in 2002, it is a public facility which also hosts major national and international events.

We offer a range of facilities including gym, 50m swimming pool which can be split into two pools (a 25m and a 23m), diving pool, and strength space area and health suite.

The Centre has a variety of sessions available in our 50m swimming pool (which can be split into 25m and 23m pools) and in all of them you are able to workout at your own pace. Sessions are available for all ages and abilities.

The fully air conditioned fitness suite offers the latest cardio, resistance and free weights equipment. So, whether your goal is to lose weight, look good or feel great a team of fully qualified fitness instructors are on hand to help you achieve your goal.

Cardio training is great for your heart and lungs, whilst resistance training is great for improving strength and muscle tone. Ask one of the fitness instructors to create a personal exercise programme specifically for you.

The health suite offers a sauna and steam room for you to enjoy – relax tired and aching muscles and rejuvenate your body and mind.

At Manchester Aquatics Centre we have introduced passes for disabled teenagers aged 16 to 19 to allow free access to indoor leisure. We focus on monthly swimming sessions for families with disabled young people. The aim of these sessions is to give the young people confidence to use swimming pools.
