We provide tuition in maths, English, science and entrance exam preparation for young people aged 5 - 16. Our lessons are individually tailored to your child's needs, ensuring maximum progress and the best chance of success. Young people attend weekly, face-to-face tuition sessions at £28 for 75 minutes. We are Ofsted-registered, which allows you to reduce the cost of tuition. We also run one-hour online group tuition sessions for £22. We provide homework and we are always available to discuss your child's progress, whether by telephone, email or at our premises in central Urmston.

Better Tuition is an independent tuition centre, based in the heart of Urmston. Run by husband and wife, Paul Syrett and Christine McLaughlin, we have been offering the highest standards of tuition since 2008. Children attend once a week for sessions lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes.
At Better Tuition, every child is assessed and taught individually within a small group. Our positive approach will boost your child's confidence and bring out the love of learning which we believe is inherent in every child. We achieve excellent results in SATs, GCSEs and entrance exams. Each face-to-face lesson costs £28.
Better Tuition's qualified teachers work with children face-to-face in a ratio of 1:4 or 1:5. This provides the right mix of support alongside the opportunity to practice new concepts independently. This balance is highly effective in developing your child's confidence and self-belief.
Since the first lockdown, we have also offered one-hour group tuition sessions online. These lessons cost £22. We currently offer online tuition for Year 5 entrance exam preparation only. In the event of another lockdown, we will extend our online provision to other year groups.Young people feel empowered at Better Tuition. Within a few weeks, their confidence soars in line with their scores in school. We have helped many hundreds of children achieve and succeed in school and beyond. We offer tuition in maths, English, science and entrance exam preparation for Trafford's grammar school system.

Better Tuition is situated centrally in Urmston, just a short distance from the Trafford Centre.
You may park opposite our centre on Flixton Road (free parking for two hours) or you may like to park in Eden Square car park at Sumner Way, Urmston, Manchester M41 5BE. Parking is free for three hours. Better Tuition is a short walk. Walk down Golden Way and turn left along Flixton Road. We are located on the corner of Flixton and Crofts Bank Roads.
If coming by train, alight at Urmston station and walk up to the main crossroads. Better Tuition is situated on the main crossroads, above Home Estate Agents.
Bus numbers 245, 276 and 22 will take you to Urmston. Alight at Urmston Library, then walk down Crofts Bank Road to the main crossroads.
