The Urban Fitness Collective (Tuf*C)
Tuf*C explicitly targets and works with hard to reach and marginalised young people to give them different choices through positive engagement and messages via sport.
Tuf*C have specialist knowledge and skills in working with young people and have worked extensively with issues relating to gangs, crime, health and social care. We have established strong good relationships within the local communities where we have delivered or supported service delivery.
Tuf*C has over 35 trained professionally sports coaches who are able to deliver activities throughout the area. These are known as our Coaches and Leaders.
Our team of Tuf*C Coaches and Leaders, proactively outreach, engage and work with hard to reach young people around the edges of a lifestyle of gangs, offending, drug or substance misuse and other anti-social behaviour.
Once connected with young people, we support their transition through personalised 1-2-1 coaching, activities, volunteering opportunities and gaining employable qualifications all designed to move young people away from risky behaviours and build individual resilience and coping mechanisms.
