Energyworks

A member of staff from Energyworks can visit your home to provide free equipment to help make your home warmer and more energy efficient: door brushes, letter box covers, radiator reflective foil, long lasting light bulbs. They can also help a family or individual to switch to a cheaper energy supplier and Energyworks do all the comparison work and switching for them.

Energyworks can visit an individual or family more than once to help them switch to the best energy provider, but to also help them with issues such as debt and to liaise with housing associations and private landlords where necessary.

The service is open to people living in their own home, privately rented and also housing association properties because the free equipment provided does not require any permission from landlords to be installed.

The service is open to those on low income, certain benefits and also those who may have a higher income but are living with long term health conditions so the criteria is very broad. Those on a very low income or certain benefits can also be referred for boiler replacements, cavity wall insulation and loft insulation (Energyworks can liaise with housing associations and private landlords to get consent for this work).

Referring involves completing a short referral form so Energyworks can get in touch with the individual or family. Alternatively, individuals can phone and ask to access the service themselves.

The service is really fantastic and can help those who don’t have the knowledge, capacity or technology to save money on energy provision.

Each customer we speak to is offered an information pack that they can refer back to at their leisure.
