Enjoy a Fun Steam Train Ride! Take a ride behind our replica of Robert Stephenson's 1830 Planet locomotive. It's great fun for the kids...and the parents! Departing from outside the Power Hall at regular intervals. Please call 0161 832 2244 on the day of your visit to confirm that Planet will be running if making a special visit. About the Planet locomotive: This impressive engine was built by the Friends of the Museum and began providing rides for our visitors in October 1992. Planet is operated by MOSI volunteers.
