We are a team of workers who have a wide range of qualifications and experience in childcare. We work with children and young people of school age year 1 to year 11. The single most important principle underlying the range of services offered by Outreach is that children and young people (where possible) are supported in their own families. The overall aim of Outreach is to support children and young people in their communities and prevent unnecessary admission to care.
Outreach work is part of a social care plan. We work in partnership with parents and other professionals and agencies.
We provide support and advice to parents, advice and support to children and young people, 12 hour telephone support 9.00am - 9.00pm 7 days a week, encourage the child/young person to get involved with age appropriate leisure activities, liaise with schools where appropriate, liaise and implement programmes of work with other agencies on behalf of the child or young person and their family.
We also offer parenting courses to parent/carers of all children and young people of school age.
