* Achieve with Prince's Trust and Trafford Talkshop / Youth Engagement Service (YES)

The Prince’s Trust in partnership with the Youth Engagement Service (YES) is delivering a brand new Achieve programme from the Talkshop in Sale to support young people aged 13-16 who are at risk of disengaging from schools.

This is a 10 week Personal Development Course (3 hours, one day per week) and embeds core values of Teambuilding, Confidence and Motivation through sessions including:

  • Cooking on a budget
  • Adventurous Activities
  • Money Management
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Urban Orienteering
  • Employability
  • Communication
  • Magistrates Courts Visits
  • World at Work
  • Participation in exercise
  • Mental Health Support

The programme involves some off-site activities designed to re-motivate young people who may be struggling with behaviours/at risk of exclusion and under-achieving. It is an Early Intervention so is not suitable for already excluded young people.

The new programme will start after February half term and Prince’s Trust are taking referrals now. The programme and activities are fully funded and there are no costs to schools.
