About our service

Trafford Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a programme of exercise and education designed for people with a chronic lung condition/s. If you experience shortness of breath on a regular basis, we can help you in reducing your breathlessness, improving your fitness, quality of life and management of your lung conditon/s.

The course takes place in either a group setting or in your own home and is ran by physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

Patients are assessed by a therapist prior to commencing the course to ensure they are safe to exercise and to determine the intensity of the exercises to be provided. All exercises are tailored to the individual need of the patient.

These courses have been proven to reduce the number of flare ups and hospital admissions related to chronic lung condition/s.

Please speak to your gp, practice nurse, respiratory team if you would like to be referred to the service. Any health professional can refer into the service.
