Child Bereavement UK helps children, parents and families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. We support children and young people up to the age of 25 who are facing bereavement, and anyone affected by the death of a child of any age.

We offer free, confidential bereavement support by telephone, video or instant messenger, wherever you live in the UK.

Eligibility Details

We support any child or young person up to the age of 25 who has been bereaved of someone special, we also support Parents / Carers who are bereaved of a baby or child at any age. We offer face-to-face support for individuals, couples or families. We also offer a group for younger children (4-11) and their families and a group for Young People aged between 12 & 25 where they can meet other young people who have also been bereaved.

Referral Details

Referrals for bereavement support with one of our practitioners are made by calling our Helpline on 0800 02 888 40, which is open Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Third party referrals are only taken when the families permission has been given.  We encourage families to self refer as the Helpline can offer some immediate support and guidance.
