The Pulmonary Rehabilitation service provides a programme of education, exercise and support to people living with breathlessness due to a chronic lung condition.
Following an assessment, people attend a course twice a week for 7 weeks. The course provides tailored exercise and education sessions to enable people to improve their fitness, functional ability, quality of life, and self management of their condition.
The course is run by Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
These courses have been proven to reduce the number of flare ups and hospital admissions related to the chronic lung condition.
