Interested in a career in IT Support or Information Management?
Would you like to work for a large national organisation with fantastic career opportunities?
If you have 4 GCSEs A*-C (including English and Maths) then the two year combined Level 2/3 NHS Informatics Apprenticeship could be for you. At the end of the two year programme you will gain a Level 3 qualification as well as Microsoft (MOS and MTA) certifications.
NHS organisations across the North West are currently looking to recruit apprentices to a two year programme of learning comprising:
- Level 2 IT Application Specialist Apprenticeship including Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) qualifications in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Level 3 IT Software, Web & Telecoms Professionals Apprenticeship including Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) qualifications
During the first year apprentices will spend a proportion of their time working in Information Management with data analysts and in IT with the service desk, support and network engineers. Towards the end of the first year of the programme apprentices will decide whether to specialise in either Information or IT where they will spend the whole of the second year work placement developing knowledge and skills in their chosen area.
Apprentices will be offered a work placement by one of the NHS organisations signed up to the programme, as close as possible to where they live. They will be employed on a full time, fixed-term contract for the duration of the programme attending training one day per week in either Blackburn, Liverpool or Manchester during the first year; in year two training will be block release. All training related expenses will be paid by the employer.
