Altrincham Preparatory School has a distinguished history of providing high-quality, traditional, academic education for boys from the ages 2 to 11
Originally founded in 1936 by a group of leading local educationalists, APS is now widely recognised as a centre of excellence.
The school enjoys long standing relationships with the area's very best independent schools, the Trafford grammar schools and boarding schools nationwide.
Our examination results are consistently excellent, confirming our reputation as one of the most respected feeder schools in the region.
In 1997, the members of the governing body realised a long held ambition when they saw the opening of the magnificent new building on Marlborough Road, Bowdon.
The building houses the Prep School for ages 7 to 11.
The Pre-Prep and Early Years Centre for boys aged from 2 to 7 is on the school's original site at the Highbury building on West Road, Bowdon and Bank Place on Stamford Road, Bowdon, just a couple of hundred metres from Marlborough Road.
