Ambito Beaumont College logo

Beaumont College is an exciting place to live and learn. Founded in Lancaster in 1977 we offer both residential and day programmes to Learners aged between 18 and 25 with a broad range of physical and learning disabilities. Our aim is to empower Learners to take responsibility for their own lives.

We aim to enable students to develop independence by providing the appropriate amount of support that can be scaled for each individual. We enable our students to develop their independence skills in a realistic way that will benefit them when they leave Beaumont.

All students at Beaumont College have a dedicated Keyworker. Each Keyworker at the college is highly trained and focused on the particular needs and interests of their key student. He or she will be active in helping students to learn, thrive and enjoy themselves.

What can Beaumont offer?

We want all of our Learners to increase their independence and gradually take on greater responsibility and control over their lives. They live and work in a supportive and stimulating environment. We offer them an extended curriculum with a strong emphasis on creative arts, communication and self expression. Learners make an important contribution to the running of the college through the very active Student Council, student working groups and representation at Governors’ meetings.

How do learners benefit from Beaumont?

Beaumont is a friendly and stimulating place where Learners can face challenges in realistic situations, develop interests and gradually gain the skills and confidence they need to move on to the next stage of their lives.

We also offer places to learn in Barrow, Blackpool and Carlisle.
