Altrincham Little Theatre
One of the oldest community theatres in England, located in the heart of Altrincham, Altrincham Little Theatre has been serving audiences in Trafford, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and beyond for more than 120 years.
Run by volunteers as a registered charity, the theatre brings professional quality shows to audiences at affordable prices and offers people of all ages an opportunity to learn about, train and be involved in all aspects of theatre.
As well as producing its own season of plays, the theatre hosts visiting productions, theatrical screenings and a number of film clubs, including seasons of foreign language cinema. It welcomes language groups and visiting education groups keen to learn about the theatre and its life. There are opportunities for volunteers including backstage crew and front of house all year round.
A member of Association of Little Theatre Guild, Association of Community Theatre (ACT UK) and Greater Manchester Drama Federation, Altrincham Little Theatre has won numerous awards for its productions, cast and staging.
The 130-seat theatre is a cozy, welcoming traditional theatre as theatre is meant to be, but between stage plays it also transforms into a well equipped cinema to showcase the best of world cinema and some spectacular productions from the London stage. The theatre also hosts local youth group and school productions.
Altrincham Little Theatre wardrobe can offer costume items and props for hire.
