Sarah Orpet - Learning through Fun.
It is a privilege to look after children, all children are unique and special. I speak English, German, Spanish and have a stage 1 sign language and love learning about different cultures with children: festivals, foods, craft. Children in my care have a fun stimulating home from home. I customise learning to each child’s interests, we do lots of outings as learning is all around us in parks, libraries, playgroups, museums, play centres and more. I am Ofsted registered (rated as an outstanding childminder on my last inspection) and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum (EYFS).
Local Offer
All education providers in Trafford are expected to be able to identify and support children with special educational needs to make the best possible progress.

Inclusion Information
- Special Diet(s)
- Muslim: parents advised to give vegetarian diet. Hindu: no beef, eggs not given at certain festival lead up times. I have also provided dairy and soya free diets, vegetarian and also gluten free (coeliac) diets. I can usually find alternatives and also check with parents to find out each child's preferences to weave into my four week rotating menu, which is tweaked following the suggestions from the children.
- Cultural Provisions Details
- I have looked after Hindu, Christian and Muslim children and celebrated their festivals with all the children. I obtained information from parents to fully understand items of cultural significance and how culture fits into everyday life. I have learnt Polish and Italian to support the learning of children from bilingual families. I have also used German and Spanish for bilingual awareness when requested by parents.

- Details
- I may have a vacancy for a baby to preschool age child from September 2023, though worth asking me in case anything comes available before then.
