Afasic - Unlocking Speech & Language
Afasic is the UK wide charity representing children and young adults with speech and language impairments, working for their inclusion in society and supporting their parents and carers. They offer:
- Information and support through their helpline, website and publications, as well as parent support groups and local points of contact across the UK.
- Afasic organises training workshops and conferences for parents and professionals to help increase the levels of knowledge and awareness of the disability.
- Afasic runs activities and programmes for children and young people to help develop their social and communication skills, reduce their social isolation and support them at key points of transition.
