CAP Life Skills is a free 8 week group course with a shared community meal each week, designed for people living on a low income, teaching practical skills and money management techniques in a hands-on way. We cover topics such as household financial management, cooking on a budget, staying in control of your home energy, maintaining healthy relationships and taking care of our wellbeing.
There is a CAP Life Skills Manager in both Altrincham and Partington and they have the ability to take referrals from across Trafford:
Atrincham CAP Life Skills Manager - Helen Myers, 07917 617539 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Partington CAP Life Skills Manager - Karen Greenhalgh, 07821 304564 or email@example.com
As we are currently unable to meet in person, The CAP Life Skills Service is launching a brand new online community in September 2020 called ‘Kickstart’, which will contain some of the elements of the full Life Skills course and as its name suggests intends to ‘kickstart’ people’s lives again following the Covid 19 pandemic.
Kick Start will open up conversations about the challenges people are facing and give practical tips on how to overcome these. Sessions will cover topics such as anxiety and worry, lifting financial pressure, handling habits and more.
We are a national award winning charity offering FREE, long term face to face debt counselling provided in client's homes. We provide this service in Sale, Altrincham and Partington at the present time. Long term holistic support with volunteer befriending support and practical support such as food shopping, practical tasks, and emotional support is available to all clients.
CAP will help anyone regardless of their age, gender, faith or background.
