Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)

Coronavirus status: OPEN

We are a free NHS multidisciplinary service for young people up to the age of 18 years old who may be suffering from a range of difficulties such as depression, anxiety and eating disorders amongst many others.

CAMHS Trafford  offer a range of assessment and treatment options for children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties. Although we are based at Oriel Court in Sale, children, young people and families are seen in local community settings such as local clinics, health centres and schools.

The CAMHS team comprises child psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, specialist nurses and other specialist therapists. Children and young people experiencing a range of mental health disorders will be assessed by a member of the team and, together with family and carers, a treatment care plan will be agreed.

We also offer parent/carer online workshops on a range of topics for families currently open to CAMHS, please contact us on the details below to find out about upcoming dates.

We also offer advice and information about early mental health difficulties to school staff via our School CAMHS Information Line on
