Transport for Sick Children
Transport for Sick Children (TfSC) is a charity which operates a volunteer driver scheme. TfSC and its superhero volunteer drivers aim to reduce the transport barriers that any children living in Greater Manchester may have, to ensure equal access to health care. It caters especially for children living in deprivation or tough social circumstances.
Our mission is to reduce the stress felt by sick children and their families by providing access to healthcare in a friendly and supportive way.
All Health Care Professionals who work with children and families can refer children to the charity for transport consideration.
We receive funding from the NHS and the Integrated Care Board (ICB) in Greater Manchester. We also receive donations from small community groups and generous individuals.
