Fit Fans is a programme funded by the EFL Trust and Trafford Council, delivered in partnership with Public Health England. It is a free health programme targeted at males who are looking to lose weight and lead a healthier lifestyle.
The programme runs once a week for twelve weeks and it allows participants to join with like-minded football fans on the same journey. Participants can expect to learn about making better more informed choices to improve their overall lifestyle and health.
Fit Fans sessions are split into two halves, the first half consists of an open group discussion around various topics to do with healthy eating and exercise followed by completing low level physical activity tailored around individuals abilities. This will increase in intensity as the programme progresses and will be tailored to all individuals to ensure everybody improves at their own pace.
Away from the face to face delivery Foundation 92 health and wellbeing staff will provide On-going support throughout the twelve weeks, via email or phone if the participant requires additional advice/support.
