About our service

Trafford Sunrise provides support for children aged 5-12 years in coping with difficult feelings and/or behavioural difficulties and promoting emotional wellbeing. We also provide some support for parents. In response to Covid-19, our work with children is currently online/socially distanced in-person groups up to six, according to current governmental guidance.

Working Together Groups:

Across five to six weekly sessions, our Working Together groups aim to help children develop emotional resilience, learn coping strategies, and increase their self-esteem and social engagement with the support of their parents and carers.

Individual Sessions:

Individual therapy sessions are available for children who may require additional support with their emotional health and wellbeing.

For Parents & Carers:

Our online Parent Workshops aim to provide parents with a space to talk and share ideas around supporting their children. Parents will also be able to learn more about children's mental health and wellbeing, including: parental separation, anxiety, bullying, and behavioural difficulties. Parents can also access the drop-in sessions to find out more about us and our service.
