Blue Badge Scheme In Trafford

Blue badges allow cars carrying people who are disabled to park near shops, stations and other facilities.

This includes people who have severe walking difficulties, a terminal illness or who are registered blind, and from 30 August 2019 also people with "hidden disabilities" who cannot walk as part of a journey without considerable psychological distress or the risk of serious harm - this includes people with autism, dementia and anxiety disorders.

Blue Badge Fee

A charge of £10 must be paid for each badge issued, including renewals and replacements for lost or stolen badges.

How do I apply for a Badge?

You can apply for or renew a Blue Badge on the GOV.UK website.

You may be required to attend an assessment appointment where your application will be approved, rejected or referred for an independent mobility assessment. If your application is approved we will take your picture and you will need to pay the badge fee.

Applicants diagnosed with a terminal illness

If you are applying for a blue badge on behalf of someone diagnosed with a terminal illness, please call 0161 912 3000.

Lost or stolen badges

If your Blue Badge has been lost or stolen please complete the following actions:

Report the loss or theft to the police and you will be given a reference number. Then you will need complete a form: https://www.gov.uk/report-lost-stolen-blue-badge , we will contact with you if any further information is required.
