Starting with a fun group warm up, runners are placed into groups depending on ability (ranging from complete beginners to 5k runners). A run/walk session is then completed along a set 2.5k route. The session includes teaching points on how to run, and taught cool down stretches afterwards. Afterwards, we offer optional homework to our runners, which if completed, means runners can progress to the next level. If runners attend every session and complete all homework, we expect them to be completing their first 5k in 9 weeks.
Runners who complete the programme will attend a celebratory ParkRun with the #MileShyClub to complete their first 5k! Subject to club funds, we will endeavour to provide all finishers with goody bags.
There is are optional free refreshments after each session, kindly provided by Limelight, for those who wish to have a chat, or ask more questions!
