OUTSTANDING GRADING by OFSTED following our January 2022 inspection, we were again graded as an ‘Outstanding’ Nursery. This is the highest grade Early Years Provision can be granted.  Some of the comments from our Ofsted inspection were:

‘...Children thrive at this exceptional nursery’

‘…The children’s best interests and needs are at the centre of everything the staff do for them. Children are confident, talkative, and clearly love being in this nurturing, home-from-home environment’

‘…Children constantly experience new learning that is exciting and meaningful to them. Each day, children take an active role to decide what they would like to do. Staff expertly consider how to tailor activities children choose, to ensure their knowledge builds over time’

‘…Staff treat the children with sincere kindness and support them to consider each other's feelings’

‘…Staff provide children with the praise and encouragement they need to help them to succeed. Staff recognise children's unique characters and nurture their specific skills and talents’

We have a very caring, highly skilled, qualified, experienced, professional team, and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage covering the seven areas of learning and providing continuous provision in our setting. All our team are fully trained in Safeguarding and First Aid. We have an extensive and very natural outdoor provision (this really has to be seen to be appreciated) which includes tractor tyres, outside ‘den’, mud pit, wild garden, vegetable and flower garden where the children grow things themselves, including herbs as well as a wide range of outdoor activities and equipment.

We are part of the early education scheme which offers free hours for 3 and 4 year olds and eligible 2 year olds.

Sibling discounts and reduced fees for full time places. We accept all electronic childcare vouchers and employers’ incentive schemes.

Special Need(s)
As a setting we do everything practicable to help support children with disabilities and additional needs. We liaise with support agencies to enable us to meet the individual needs of the children who attend or wish to attend our setting. Staff have undertaken training, where possible to do so, specific to the children's disability or medical need to enable our staff to provide the highest standards of care and support.
Special Diet(s)
We have a number of children who have special dietary requirements such as being dairy or soya free, vegetarian or vegan, as well as other intolerances. We ensure all our meals are suitable for the children in the setting each day and buy produce that takes into account of the above dietary needs to ensure, where ever possible, the children as having the same or similar meals to their friends. Staff have undertaken food safety training and allergen awareness training and the cook is notified of the children's dietary needs each morning.
Cultural Provisions Details
We provide a variety of opportunities for the children to learn about the different cultures of not only the children attending our setting but in the wider community, such looking at celebrations and festivals, food tasting activities, dressing up role play and watching educational videos to enhance the children and staff's knowledge and understanding of people's different ways of life.
