Raglan Road Pre-School Playgroup

The Playgroup was established in 1965 and, as a registered charity, is accountable to OFSTED and the Charities Commission. Government funded places of up to 15 hours per week available, childcare vouchers accepted from September 2013. From September 2017 we will have 30 hour government funded places available

We are a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance which offers support and guidance at a national level. The Playgroup also has links with Trafford Early Years.

We provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment for children; and extend a warm welcome to parents and carers.

Your child can attend these sessions from the age of 2.

Our team work closely with the children to help develop their personal and social skills.

One of our key aims is to encourage learning through play. This is achieved by involving the children in a range of activities including: sand, water, painting, imaginative play, cooking, craftwork, book corner and stories, music and singing. We also offer physical play including outdoor activities.

Whilst your child is at Playgroup we record their development in a pictorial form and this is available to you at any time.

We cater for the needs of each child, they will learn basic skills in numbers, the alphabet and shapes as well as the social skills of sharing, listening and taking turns. This is a stepping stone towards starting school, ensuring independence and confidence.

Sessions are £18.00 per session, children may attend a morning or afternoon session or all day, those attending all day will require a packed lunch.
