Washway Road Day Nursery

Chester Road Day Nursery is privately owned day nursery owned and run by Clare Garforth.

We are very proud of our reputation throughout the local area, and the high quality provision we provide for all children, parents and staff. We aim to provide a secure and happy, caring and stimulating environment in which children question, investigate, discuss and develop the necessary skills and attitudes to enable them to grow into well balanced members of society.

We also seek to help children feel valued and to gain enjoyment as well as success from learning and offer a well planned, broad and balanced curriculum which gives equal emphasis to intellectual, physical, spiritual, moral and social skills.

We provide childcare for children aged 0-5 years and ensure that all our children have a right to equal education opportunities, valuing race, gender, disability, social background and religion.

We have 12 early years practitioners whose qualifications range from level 2 to level 6.

We open Monday to Friday 7.30 - 6.

Further Details

We pride ourselves on the level of support that we provide for children with complex and additional needs and disabilities. We have a ramp at the rear entrance for wheelchair access and have experience and training in working with and supporting children with SEN. We have 2 named SENCO's within the setting who are responsible for the general welfare and education of children and who support keyworkers and parents when working in partnership to complete individual plans to support individual needs of children. We work closely with the local authority and SENAS and TEDS team in order to support children with SEN to achieve the best possible outcomes and to enjoy their time at nursery.
