Holiday Activity Fund (HAF) - Hideout at The Hideaway - Partington
Hideout is the name of our group that supports children with a range of emotional needs that do not cope well in some environments. Many of the children involved are referred through partner agencies whilst they await higher level intervention and treatments.
We are running Hideout for 4 weeks during the summer holidays, for 2 hours each day. The daily sessions will have a weekly theme and include physical activity and Hideaway play time along with structured activities, preparing their meal and eating together. The programme will be focussed on building emotional resilience, and developing strategies for good mental health. The combination of good food, exercise and positive structured activities will see them bond well together, grow in skills and leadership and provide a focus for a summer holidays which many children struggle with due to the lack of structure.
The project will provide daily structured physical activity, meal and improve mental wellbeing for the children involved.
