Ascot House
Ascot House is a 36 bed therapy-led Intermediate Care Unit. It provides a 24 hour intermediate care service for patients registered with a Trafford GP. The multi-disciplinary team provides physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and social work support as required. In addition, a designated GP practice and local community services such as nursing, podiatry, dietetics and speech and language therapy, will provide support at the unit when necessary.
The unit provides care for people who are medically well enough to be discharged from hospital but need short-term therapy input and rehabilitation to allow them to return to their home address.
It also helps to prevent avoidable hospital admissions by providing a step up facility for individuals in the community who require frequent and intensive therapy to progress their mobility and functional status.
