Community Safety Team
The Community Safety Team leads for the Local Authority on a wide range of interventions and initiatives and where necessary enforcement action aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour and increasing community safety.
The Community Safety Team work with partners and local police teams, we are victim led service, looking to intervene at the earliest opportunity to resolve community issues, looking to establish the root cause of issues and making appropriate referrals to partner services.
We carry out interventions and presentations in schools focussing on current issues.
We have a statutory duty under the Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Crime and Policing Act 2014 to engage with perpetrators of Anti Social Behaviour.
