Stockdales Headonhey Residential Home

Stockdales is a registered charity providing care & support for people with learning disabilities. We work with people who have a wide spectrum of needs, ranging from those who require straightforward, low level support to gain and improve their independence to people with complex health needs with profound and multiple learning disabilities requiring specialised support to enjoy a fine and meaningful quality of life.

Headonhey is part of the Stockdales group of residential care homes providing a caring, warm home for 7 people with complex health and learning disabilities. Headonhey is situated in the heart of the community, close to Sale town centre, accommodation is spacious, modern, well presented and fully adapted to meet the needs of people with complex health needs.

Headonhey provides an exceptional service, treating everyone with respect and dignity taking account of their unique needs, desires and aims. Choice is important and people are encouraged to lead full, stimulating, and challenging lives to meet their full potential and to develop and maintain both their skills and their health.

There is an open and honest approach to care and everyone is encouraged to tell us how we are doing so all voices are heard with a strong emphasis on consultation with service users and their families.

Opportunities for taking part in activities are extensive with person centred activity planners in place as well as access to Stockdales Lifeskills service. Activities take place across the week including evenings and weekends.
