Osteopathy is a physical therapy focused on establishing long term pain relief for patients. All osteopaths are registered with the General Osteopathic Council and medically trained to treat musculoskeletal problems, such as damaged parts of the skeleton, muscles, ligaments, nerves and joints.

We see adults of all ages suffering from acute and chronic pain caused by injury and illness. Special needs adults are seen regularly, elderly adults and patients with chronic and debilitating conditions. Babies and children are frequently treated as well.

We are also able to provide counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy services.

Your osteopath will look to diagnose the reason for your pain and treat it, improving your condition to alleviate the pain and better your way of life. Our osteopaths will look into the causes of your pain and treat other areas in the body which might be putting the affected area under undue stress and strain.

When appropriate our osteopaths will advise an after care plan using exercises and ergonomics to help avoid relapses or recurrences.

Osteopaths regularly treat patients with chronic illnesses and conditions. We receive patients with arthritis, Parkinson’s Disease, fibromyalgia and other long term conditions to provide comfort, relive pressure on the musculoskeletal system and improve their daily lives.

Equally, we receive patients suffering from Myalgic Encephalopathy (ME) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) using the Perrin Technique, which is currently the subject of a NHS clinical trial. The technique diagnoses and treats ME and CFS with extremely positive results.

Chiropody – footcare podiatry that treats nail conditions (painful, long, thickened or fungal), removal of corns and calluses, hard skin, cracked heels, verrucae and advice on fungal infections (ie. athletes foot), footwear and foot care advice.

Chiropody is typically used regularly by elderly patients, patients with special needs and patients who are unable to tend to or look after their feet.

Massage – we have a range of massage available to relive stress, muscle tension and relaxation.
