Seashell Trust Residential Short Breaks

Seashell Trust logo

We offer a range of short breaks for children and young people aged between 3 and 25 years of age.  Designed for those with profound and complex learning difficulties they are tailored to meet the needs of the individual and are delivered with the same skills, expertise and care we give to those in full time care. Packages are funded directly by the Social Care Division of your local authority, or through direct payments.

Short breaks are accommodated in our Care Quality Commission registered and Ofsted-inspected care homes and can vary from one or two nights per week up to 14 weeks in the holidays.  Children and young people have their own bedroom, a personalised care plan and will share communal living with others of their own age and interests.

We offer a full range of arts and crafts, music, cooking, sports and fabulous facilities for swimming, cycling, trampolining or enjoying our fully inclusive fitness suite.  Our highly trained staff will be on-hand at all times and will also accompany children and young people off-site to visit local shops, the cinema, restaurants and other culture venues.
