Preparing for Adulthood Resources

Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) is a 2 year programme which brings together a wide range of expertise and experience of working with young people and families at a local and national level and across government, to support young people into adulthood with paid employment, good health, independent living, community inclusion, friends and relationships.

Our Vision and Mission

That young people with SEN and are Disabled have equal life chances as they move into adulthood.

If we were successful we would see the following:

  • Services that have a statutory responsibility would focus on how they can support people to have equal life chances
  • Mainstream agencies would be more inclusive and engaged
  • People and their families would be centrally engaged in the process
  • Local authorities would be able to evidence positive outcomes for young people.
