City of Trees - Citizen Forester Volunteer Events
City of Trees and Trafford council are working together to improve local woodlands to help tackle the climate emergency. We are holding woodland management events to improve people's outdoor skills and knowledge.
Our events are child and family friendly with the aim to educate and empower young minds with knowledge on how to create better local environments.
We carry out tree planting, woodland management, wildflower planting and invasive species control.
All children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, the City of Trees team are 1st Aid trained. However, we can not be personally responsible for children or young adults.
Throughout the event, team members are on hand to support with all practical activities alongside training and the use of tools.
